One of the most complicated aspects of designing something is avoiding license conflicts and obtaining material that can be used without restrictions. Many portals are dedicated to collecting and concentrating such material, making our lives easier. At the beginning of October we studied closely the Freebiebucket offer, and the people at Tilda Publishing deliver more than 700 free icons, but today it's the turn of NoShit, which combines fonts, vector graphics, icons, patterns, interfaces, illustrations, and more.
Do you need an icon pack? Technically nothing prevents you from creating them from scratch, but the most effective for most projects is to download a free set, with a more or less flexible license. I say "more or less" because we know how these things are. Something available today can change its conditions tomorrow, and the last thing we want is a copyright conflict or similar. Fortunately, there is a large number of creators (enthusiasts and professionals alike) who recognize this problem and dedicate themselves to collecting all kinds of fonts and design resources with free and/or free profiles. One of those creators is Ben, known as harowitzblack on Twitter, who develops the NoShit portal.
What NoShit offers
NoShit is a relatively small portal, but what interests us here is the quality of its content, and on that point it does not disappoint. The material is divided into seven general categories: fonts, illustrations, sketches, icons, 3D, web templates, and graphical interface kits. It doesn't matter if you want to give a special touch to your personal page, if you're looking for interface ideas for your new webapp, or if you just need an additional font, most likely you'll find it in NoShit. A detail to keep in mind is that the portal does not offer downloads by itself, but rather redirects to other online repositories like Dropbox, Dafont, or the original creator's page (if it exists).
NoShit is definitely worth a place among your favorites. I imagine its content will continue to grow over time, but the most important thing is that it maintains its convenience. Its organization is excellent, and the small samples are more than enough to appreciate the downloads. If you see something that interests you, don't hesitate.
