NVIDIA introduced DSX POD on October 21, 2026, as a containerized reference design for Vera Rubin AI factories. The company estimates that deployment at a prepared site could shrink from six months to as little as 14 days, with worldwide partner deliveries planned for early 2027.
What DSX POD is designed to do
An AI factory is a data center built to run AI workloads. DSX POD is a modular design for these facilities, with partners assembling and validating units before delivery. NVIDIA says the approach is meant to shorten the time from site preparation to operation.
NVIDIA says its DSX MaxLPS software can produce the same number of tokens, or units of text generated by an AI model, using up to 30% less power. The company also estimates that a 2-gigawatt deployment could save up to 14.3 million U.S. gallons of water per day compared with conventional cooling-tower systems. Dry-cooler use depends on local climate, and supplemental mechanical cooling may be needed during the hottest periods.
NVIDIA’s £2 billion commitment in the UK
NVIDIA announced a £2 billion investment in the UK market for AI startups and infrastructure. The company says the investment is domiciled in the United States and activated in the United Kingdom. NVIDIA named Accel, Air Street Capital, Balderton Capital, Hoxton Ventures, and Phoenix Court as venture-capital partners.
NVIDIA’s GTC Berlin coverage placed the UK investment within a broader European commitment of nearly $10 billion. The UK announcement gives no company-by-company allocation or payment schedule. NeoTeo previously covered NVIDIA’s planned investments in four French AI companies, an earlier part of the European story.
Sweden’s Sferical One is a launched system
NVIDIA describes Sferical One as a launched shared supercomputer in Sweden. Its configuration includes two NVIDIA DGX SuperPODs, 16 racks of DGX GB300 systems, and 1,152 GPUs. The consortium is anchored by AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Saab, SEB, and Wallenberg Investments, with SKF as a strategic partner.
Stockholm plans and a Nordic capacity projection
NVIDIA and Norrsken Foundation plan to open the Stockholm AI Lab in 2027. NVIDIA also projects that AI-cloud capacity across the Nordic region will reach 1 gigawatt by the end of 2027.
