How to Optimize Your WiFi Using WiFiAnalyzer
WiFiAnalyzer is an open-source development, and thanks to that we can access its source code on GitHub, use F-Droid, or download the APK directly. The appearance of its interface reminds us of other similar tools, including one for Windows that shares the same name. The general categories are four: Access Points, Channel Rating, Channel Graph, and Time Graph.
The Access Points section reports nearby networks with their SSIDs, frequencies, channels, strengths, security types, MAC addresses, each device's manufacturer, and estimated distance. Channel Rating identifies the number of devices on a specific channel and assigns it a score from 0 to 20 stars (e.g., three devices on channel 1 give a score of 12/20). Finally, Channel Graph and Time Graph generate a real-time visual reference for the location and strength of available networks. The update frequency is five seconds, but you can change it if you wish.
WiFiAnalyzer is compatible with 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz networks. It also has a manufacturer database that you can query with the first three pairs of the MAC address, and supports other secondary details like dark mode for its interface.
