Once you add Pepper Tab to your Chrome or Firefox browser, the extension takes over your new tabs and adds widgets such as notes, a task list, a calendar, and the time, among other things. This way, every time you open a new tab, you'll receive reminders about tasks and events you need to do.
Web browsers are one of the services we use constantly on our computers. So why not add additional tools that will remind us of our pending tasks?
Getting Started with Pepper Tab
To do this, you just need to add Pepper Tab to your web browser (Chrome or Firefox) and grant the permissions that the module will request. From that moment, you'll notice that the design of your new tab has changed. In the upper-right corner, you'll see the icon with the letter 'P' for adding new tabs.
What You'll See on Your New Tab
The new tab will show you in the upper-right corner: the date, time, location, and temperature. In the center, you'll find a motivational quote (in English) and a percentage of hours left in the day. At the bottom, the extension will show you links for quick access to your favorite websites (you can add as many as you want).
Task List, Calendar, and Google Sync
Scrolling down, you'll have the task list and calendar. From there, you can write tasks that will be added to the list and will activate every time you open a new tab. You can also sync your Google Calendar with the environment's calendar to see your upcoming events and meetings.
Notes and Blockstack
Further down, you'll find the notes module. From that option, you can add notes easily. You can also add your Blockstack account to sync Blockstack to the browser.
Pepper Tab is a great extension for Firefox and Chrome, no doubt. It expands the utility of browser tabs with its widgets. This way, every time you open a new tab, you'll be informed of everything you need to do, the time, and the weather, among other things, so nothing slips by.
