Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales begins when Captain Jack Sparrow is pursued by an old rival, Captain Salazar, who has escaped from the Devil's Triangle along with his crew of ghost pirates, and is determined to kill every pirate. Jack's only hope is to find the Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that grants its possessor total control over the seas, in order to defeat Salazar. To find it, he will have to forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth, a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry, a young and headstrong sailor of the Royal Navy.

The trailer premiered over the weekend during an episode of Fear the Walking Dead, and while Jack does not appear in the video, you can see a 'Wanted' poster with his image being picked up by Captain Salazar. This terrifying villain gives a young sailor the following message for Sparrow: "Death will come straight for him".
Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, and Kevin McNally remain in their roles as Jack Sparrow, Hector Barbossa, and Joshamee Gibbs, respectively. New additions to the cast include Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, and Kaya Scodelario. For franchise fans, the film features the return of Orlando Bloom as Will Turner. Let's hope this fifth installment is much better than Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. With a script by Jeff Nathanson (Catch Me If You Can) and directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg (Kon-Tiki), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released in 3D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D on May 26, 2017.
