Obvious Plant is a project created by comedian Jeff Wysaski, with which he 'plants' fake elements in everyday reality (things like signs, brochures, and products), to make us laugh and confuse us a bit. Taking advantage of the recent release of 'Infinity War', Wysaski created the " Revengers", an absurd collection of bootleg dolls based on The Avengers, which sold out in minutes!
Last week saw the world premiere of Avengers: Infinity War, and marketing related to Marvel superheroes is at its peak. Comics, movies, series, video games, soundtracks, and action figures are prized objects that every fanatic wants in their collection. To take advantage of the frenzy, comedian Jeff Wysaski of Obvious Plant put on sale the Revengers, a deliriously absurd collection of parody dolls based on The Avengers. Best of all? They sold out in minutes!
Meet the (almost) complete Revengers team
Through the Obvious Plant site, the project created by Wysaski for planting fake elements for humorous purposes, a limited collection of the Revengers dolls went on sale. This superhero team is composed of Incredible Fella, Regular Raccoon, Token Girl, Knighty Knight, Detective Horse, Fedora Ron, Hacker Boy, and Greg. The striking thing about these dolls is that the allusion to some of the Marvel superheroes is notable (Hulk and Rocket), but others seem to come out of a drunken magician's hat (a detective horse and a Twi'lek from Star Wars?). Anyway, here is the (almost) complete team so you can meet them:
