The International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) competition recognizes and celebrates its winners every February, but it also organizes special events in the form of special projects. One of them focuses exclusively on macro photography, one of the categories we appreciate most due to the extraordinary level of detail in the images and the technical aspects involved in each shot.
Many of our photography articles end the same way: "Take your camera and go find a photo." No one knows exactly what you'll discover through your lens, and you might even end up being recognized worldwide for it. The macro art project organized by the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition is excellent proof. Flowers, insects and plants give us a true festival of shapes and colors that go unnoticed day after day. Such a photograph could be waiting for you. Want to know the winners?
