Both the books and films of Lord of the Rings describe Mordor in the same way: a terrible and brutal East, plagued by indescribable horrors, orcs, Uruks, and men loyal to Sauron. That entire dark region is governed from its capital, the Tower of Barad-dûr. The tower was destroyed at the end of the War of the Last Alliance, an event that also marked the conclusion of the Second Age. Sauron rebuilds it much later, achieving the form we all know. And now, the Tower of Barad-dûr can occupy a central place in your home... if you like Lego sets.

The official specifications mention a glowing Eye of Sauron, an automatic Black Gate, and different sections including a forge, a prison, and the throne. The set also includes 10 minifigures: Sauron, the Mouth of Sauron, Frodo, Sam, Gollum, Gothmog, and four orcs. The total piece count reaches 5,471. It's not the largest in this regard (Rivendell surpasses 6,000), but it does demand quite a bit of space: it measures 83 cm high, 45 cm wide, and 30 cm deep.

The official page confirms that the Barad-dûr set will be available starting next June 4, with early access for Lego Insider running from June 1 to 3.
