One aspect of The Twilight Zone franchise that may not be as well known is that its content extended beyond the classic television series, giving rise to a wide range of comics, books, and special publications.
One of these was The Twilight Zone Magazine, which during its eight years of existence made room for literary stars like Stephen King, Peter Straub, and George R. R. Martin. Thanks to the efforts of the Internet Archive, we can now download and read a good part of that collection, which, by the way, has some covers worth preserving.
The Twilight Zone Magazine dedicated much of its content to reviews or previews of recent films and interviews with the most important fantasy and science fiction writers, but like those old pulp-format publications, it also published all sorts of short stories and unpublished works.
Harlan Ellison and George R. R. Martin in the same magazine? Only The Twilight Zone Magazine could pull off something like that. The Internet Archive collection (stored under the Pulp Magazine Archive linked above) is incomplete at the moment, but even the most avid reader has plenty to dig into here...
