A group of eight characters survived a plane crash in Alaska. Stranded in the frozen wilderness, these survivors must work together to stay alive. Survive the cold of Alaska with the trailers of The Wild Eight.
Two key survival factors
The first is hunger: you must eat or experience a slow and relentless death. To do so, you can hunt the wild animals that roam the area. Each animal has its own behavior that will require you to adapt your tactics when hunting it.
The second factor is body temperature. You must provide yourself with enough warmth to survive the harsh, cold Alaskan environment. Different weather conditions can offer you different survival opportunities, like the prospect of a clear day with a sudden threat of an unexpected storm. To ensure your survival, The Wild Eight includes a tool crafting system and a set of skills to improve. At first, you won't be prepared for such situations, since your character only possesses basic abilities, crafting the simplest tools. Over time, you'll improve this skill tree, allowing you to design advanced equipment and unlock better abilities.
A cooperative experience
From day one, The Wild Eight was conceived as a cooperative experience. Certain conditions and obstacles are designed so that you need the help of other players to progress. Playing with friends will provide you with new opportunities to survive, like surrounding an animal to cut off its escape, sharing the food obtained around a campfire, or dividing the day's responsibilities among players. The Wild Eight is being developed by 8 Points and will be available on Windows, Linux, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game doesn't have a concrete release date, but it's expected to arrive in the early months of 2017.
