A couple of months ago we studied the appearance of various things under the microscope, starting with alcoholic drinks, and what we found was a true festival of colors. Last April we shared a gallery of objects explored under an electron microscope, revealing an impressive number of shapes, angles, and imperfections. Today we continue with a more 'organic' profile, so to speak, presenting the surfaces of many fruits, vegetables, and some parts of our body.
The images were originally compiled by the portal Bright Side, and published through various sources, including half a dozen Instagram profiles (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) and three on Flickr (1, 2, 3). On a personal note, I'll only say that the tomato looks like a cross-section of an alien skull, and that human eyelashes look disgusting.
