Workona took its first steps as a simple alternative tab organizer, but over time it has become much more than that. Today we can talk about a complete virtual desktop, a link between tabs, documents, and online services at the level of Google Drive, Dropbox, Outlook, GitHub, Twitter, WordPress, and dozens of additional online apps. Want to add an app? All you need is a couple of clicks and enter your credentials.
At first, the interface doesn't seem very intuitive, but the adaptation process only takes a couple of minutes. The key is the creation of "workspaces". With good organization in that regard, you can maintain multiple spaces without being overwhelmed by them. The dock is the bar on the left side. The folder icon contains the spaces, and the lightning icon concentrates the associated apps, but if you want you can add access icons to your favorite apps and services.
Finally, Workona has the ability to replace the "new tab" screen to achieve a higher level of integration. The dock and icons will remain visible, plus the possibility to customize the background, and include a small clock. The standard version of Workona is free, with a maximum limit of ten workspaces. The Pro edition costs $6 per month, but it is still in development. Personally, I think the free version is more than enough to get started. Its only technical requirements are creating an account (or using Google credentials) and installing its official extension.
