How to Generate Automatic Transcripts and Translations with Writeout.ai
Writeout.ai is completely free, although you'll need to use a GitHub account (also free) to log in. Once you reach the main interface, Writeout.ai describes its limitations: the file size cannot exceed 25 megabytes, but it offers good extension support. Another interesting aspect is that you can enter an optional prompt. This prompt helps the algorithm understand the audio a little better and is very useful for correcting specific details like brands or acronyms.
English transcription is relatively fast, and I must confess it works much better than I expected. The download format is VTT, but in practice we're dealing with a simple text file that can be easily converted. However, when it comes to generating translations, you'll have to wait several minutes, and that's when Writeout.ai loses a bit of accuracy. Its translation is satisfactory, but a trained eye will quickly spot small errors.
