A Secret Organization and Supernatural Threats
During the Cold War, a secret organization called "Patriot" gathered a group of Russian superheroes to defend the homeland from supernatural threats. The group includes representatives of the different nationalities of the Soviet Union, who have been hiding their true identities over the years. In fact, the superpowers of these characters reflect the strengths and traditions of the peoples they represent within the USSR, and they come together again to defend their homeland in difficult times.

Meet the Heroes
The Zaschitniki (The Guardians, in Russian) is composed of four superheroes: Arsus, a werebear who can transform into a bear, increasing his size and strength; Khan, who is masterfully skilled with all kinds of knives and specialized in many types of martial arts, as well as possessing a degree of superhuman strength; Ler, capable of manipulating the earth, causing earthquakes and tremors; and finally Xenia, an agile woman who has the ability to move through water as if on solid ground, even without oxygen, allowing her to survive underwater without any negative effects.
The Threat of August Kuratov
The Zaschitniki have to face August Kuratov, who possesses a machine called "Modul-1" that allows him to control any technical equipment. He decides to build his own army of clones to capture Moscow, in preparation for controlling the entire world. The film stars Anton Pampuchniy (Arsus), Sanzhar Madiev (Khan), Sebastian Sisak-Grigoryan (Ler), Alina Lanina (Xenia), Valeria Shkirando and Stanislav Shirin (August Kuratov). Directed by Armenian director Sarik Andreasyan and written by Andrei Gavrilov, Zaschitniki will be released in Russian cinemas in December 2016.
