How to generate QR codes in the browser with Guokai.dev
The two available modes are: Generate or scan QR codes. In the generation interface we see a red border, but it will never be part of the final code, and you are advised to ignore it. The controls are divided into margin and size: any adjustment to the margin can alter the size of the QR code, but the same happens with the text we load. If the string is too long, the code automatically increases its size. The last values are for error correction (greater robustness modifies the dimensions of the QR code), and for downloading the result in PNG or SVG.
The scanning function works directly with your device's webcam (after granting permission to the browser), but it also allows loading QR codes saved in images. Even more interesting is the possibility of using the scanner with virtual cameras like DroidCam, so the presence of a traditional webcam is not mandatory. Finally, Guokai.dev offers its generator as an extension compatible with Chrome and Edge, however, the web version works very well.
