Stephen King is one of those writers who can build entire universes from common things like a car or a smartphone, melt brains with parallel dimensions and primordial demons, or turn readers into addicts using more classic resources, including fugitives and vampires. As a tribute, artist Jordan Monsell decided to pour the King multiverse into a single image containing more than 170 references to his works. Do you think you have what it takes to name every one of them?
Thanks to the success of some recent adaptations, we can safely say that directors and producers are increasingly interested in diving into Stephen King's beautiful madness. Perhaps the only major asterisk behind that trend is The Dark Tower, whose box-office performance left much to be desired. However, that's not necessarily bad news, since Amazon confirmed that it acquired the rights to develop a series based on Roland's epic adventure, and it most likely will follow the path of a complete reboot. In other words, we should expect more Stephen King on both screens, but first... a challenge:

This visual festival, dubbed King Country, was created by artist Jordan Monsell, and it will be on sale at the upcoming Monsterpalooza convention in Pasadena. Monsell considers himself a die-hard Stephen King fan, but he decided to have a little mercy on the rest of us, and the image comes with its solution, which reminds us a bit of the old anti-copy protections of graphic adventures. Personally, I must admit that I failed. While I have several Stephen King books under my belt, I recognized at most a dozen elements. And the image shows no mercy: it goes from start to finish, from Carrie to The Outsider, a novel that technically isn't available yet.
