The work of Hajime Isayama keeps expanding. Thanks to the success of the manga and anime, Attack on Titan made its debut with a movie. Now it is making its way to consoles and handhelds with Attack on Titan, the video game of Shingeki no Kyojin.
If you like the manga and anime, you are surely aware of Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) in its original version. This work by Hajime Isayama keeps gaining followers, both in manga and anime, as they follow the story of Eren, Mikasa, and Armin in their fight against the Titans. In fact, last year the movie of Shingeki no Kyojin was released, but it was not very well received by fans. Now the franchise is trying its luck with a video game that will retell the key moments of the first season of the anime. Check out the spectacular Attack on Titan trailer below:
Gameplay and Characters
Visually, Attack on Titan looks exactly like the anime series. You can not only play as Eren, Mikasa, and Armin but also control any member of the 104th Training Corps (Jean, Krista, Sasha, and Connie) and the Survey Corps, where the strongest soldier of humanity, Levi, resides. When fighting Titans, you must use the Omni-Directional Mobility Gear to move freely on any surface and at any angle, even soaring through the sky by firing grappling hooks that anchor to your target. You can even see scenes on horseback during expeditions beyond the walls.
Titan Mode and Release
But the best part is that you can also control Eren in his Titan form to face all kinds of Titans, including the Female Titan and the Colossal Titan. And speaking of Titans, the only way to kill them is to deliver a deep cut to the back of the neck with the Omni-Directional Mobility Gear. Teamwork is essential for moving and attacking quickly. Attack on Titan is being developed by Omega Force and will be available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita on February 18, 2016, in Japan and sometime in spring 2016 for the rest of the world.
