Capcom’s TGS 2026 Spotlight sets out a packed Switch 2 slate

Capcom’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 Spotlight has put Nintendo Switch 2 at the center of a busy release calendar. The reported lineup includes Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen on October 9, three Resident Evil remakes digitally on October 16, Arjun for Street Fighter 6 on October 13, Monster Hunter Wilds on December 4, and Mega Man Dual Override in spring 2027.

The pre-recorded Capcom Spotlight was scheduled for September 16, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. PDT for viewers in the United States. Tokyo Game Show itself is underway at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from September 17 through September 21, with business days on September 17–18 and public days on September 19–21.

Capcom’s online showcase puts Switch 2 in the spotlight

Capcom’s official program listed Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Mega Man Dual Override and Street Fighter 6. The wider set of updates reported from the presentation also included Pragmata and three Resident Evil remakes.

The result is less a single announcement than a calendar of separate releases, downloadable content and future projects. Here are the dates that matter:

Mega Man Dual Override leans into two-character play

Mega Man Dual Override is planned for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2027. The game features Mega Man and Proto Man as playable heroes, with three areas per stage and more than 50 custom chips for configuring abilities.

The reported design also includes an Override ability and the character Twinkle Girl. Capcom’s development team described Mega Man as effective at both close range and long range, while Twinkle Girl’s encounters are built around learning attack patterns and rhythms. That points to a familiar Mega Man foundation with more room for character-specific approaches—assuming you enjoy studying a boss instead of repeatedly introducing yourself to the same defeat screen.

Resident Evil, Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Pragmata

The Resident Evil portion includes three remakes for Nintendo Switch 2. Their reported schedule is a digital release on October 16, 2026, followed by a retail release on January 29, 2027.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is scheduled for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 9, 2026. The package includes both the base game and the Dark Arisen expansion content, giving the platform a complete version of Capcom’s open-world fantasy adventure in one release.

For Pragmata, the free Mega Man Pack was reported as available on September 17, 2026. The collaboration gives Capcom’s science-fiction game a tie-in with its classic action franchise and arrives during the opening day of the physical Tokyo Game Show exhibition.

Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter Wilds look ahead

Arjun was reported to join Street Fighter 6 on October 13, 2026, as the second character in the game’s Year 4 DLC pass. Further reported additions include Tifa in early 2027 and Bosch in spring 2027. A fourth C. Viper outfit was also reported alongside Arjun.

Monster Hunter Wilds is planned for Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026. The Ascendance expansion is planned for the platform in 2027, with Teostra, a boost bracer, fourteen weapons, faster weapon swaps, equipment changes outside tents, hunter loadouts and information about monster-hide toughness among the reported additions.

The Tokyo Game Show public schedule runs from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. JST on September 19–20 and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. JST on September 21. Standard one-day public admission is ¥3,000, while Fast Ticket entry costs ¥6,000 per day and the Premium Ticket costs ¥30,000.
