Counter-Strike Fighter: What if CSGO Were a Fighting Game Like Street Fighter?
Counter-Strike Global Offensive Fighter

There's no doubt that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has established itself for several years as a competitive first-person shooter, but what if CSGO were a fighting game in the style of Street Fighter? Find out by watching the video for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Fighter!

If you're one of the passionate fans of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, you should enjoy a fan-made video that reimagines Valve's first-person shooter as a 2D fighting game in the style of Street Fighter. Thanks to the work of animator Chris Le, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Fighter Alpha takes the tropes of popular fighting games like Tekken and Street Fighter II, but reuses them in a side-scrolling fight on the iconic Dust map of Counter-Strike. After selecting the characters (terrorists versus antiterrorists, obviously), the weapons and the stage, the fight begins.

The two characters that appear in the video of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Fighter Alpha are SAS, a member of the counter-terrorist team, and Abdul, who is part of the terrorist faction. They seem to be inspired by the current character models of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but with some modifications. Their fighting moves are full of references to tactics and strategies from Valve's game. Knives, rifles, flashbangs (the stunning grenade) and even the bomb play a role in the explosive climax of the fight in the form of combos and special moves.

According to what can be seen, in this fantasy game, you could choose among five terrorist and counter-terrorist fighters, along with the weapons to equip and the map where the fight will take place. According to its creator, the 3D animation work for the two-minute video of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Fighter Alpha lasted about two months. Le also creates custom skins for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It may be unlikely that a fighting game inspired by Counter-Strike will be made, but there is a possibility that the skins could be applied to existing fighting games like Street Fighter 2 or Tekken, and that's also good.
