Ah, pleasure. How we love free things. And if they come in huge quantities, so many that they're unmanageable, even better. If you're building your website or want to add a splash of color to your desktop, don't miss out on this great collection of free icons in bulk called Flaticon.
I frequently like to change my desktop icons to make folders and shortcuts look better than they do by default. The problem sometimes arises with the quality of icon images, as I generally prefer free icons because it's not something I'd pay for. To solve this, I've built a long list of catalogs where they don't charge us for anything and the quality is quite satisfactory given their availability and abundance. The name of the place is Flaticon, and basically they are free icons in bulk.
The project comes from Flaticon, a website that collects free icons adapted to vector format (.SVG), so the quality is scalable and can be used on all kinds of devices with retina displays, as well as illustrations in programs like Illustrator. We were browsing the galleries and you really get lost in so much stuff, so almost any of the most used categories will have a good chunk of free icons available to download and use freely.
The designs of the more than 1,581,000 vector icons grouped into 32,904 themed packs are rather flat and minimalist, appealing mostly to app designers for mobile devices, where these icons are the stars. On the other hand, if you can't find the ideal icon for your project, you can register for the service and use its editor to adjust it to your liking. Flaticon icons are free, but their license requires attribution (meaning you must give them credit). You can use them in all kinds of projects without limitations. What you cannot do is sell them on your own or offer them on other download sites. Pretty good!
