The Plan to Prove the Earth Is Flat
Basically, the plan comes down to being fired in his steam rocket at a maximum speed of 805 kilometers per hour, covering an average distance of 1.6 kilometers, and reaching an altitude of 550 meters before opening two parachutes. This is supposed to help him gather evidence to prove the Earth is flat. At least one source (the Daily Plane) dedicated to the flat Earth indicates that Hughes became a believer a short time ago, something that probably has to do with the giant “RESEARCH FLAT EARTH” painted on his rocket. In fact, Hughes doubled down by saying that he “does not believe in science”, and that things like fluid dynamics and impulse are not science, but “formulas”. In his mind, there is no difference between science and science fiction.
