Monster Hunter Outlanders is free-to-play with in-app purchases. Development director Bryan Li describes spending on new Adventurers, cosmetic customization and time-saving convenience. He says players can enjoy the storylines, core game modules and key function systems without paying. Capcom lists the game for iOS and Android as free-to-play with in-app purchases (Capcom).

NeoTeo previously covered Capcom’s announced mobile launch schedule; here, the focus is what the spending model covers.

The three spending categories

Li says new Adventurers are meant to offer different hunting styles, rather than greater power. He describes cosmetic items as a way for players to express themselves, not as a way to sell power. The third category, convenience, is about saving time and letting players choose how to spend it.

What the free-access statement covers

Li says players can enjoy all storylines, core game modules and key function systems without spending. His statement describes the intended scope of free access; the three categories above describe what he says the game’s monetization is designed to cover.

What the first-season pass listing says

Gacha.gg lists a first-season pass running from October 29 through November 26, 2026. Its listing describes 70 levels and a weekly cap of 18,000 pass experience points. It includes Kojiro in the paid track and also lists the character among free-track rewards at level 60.

How the EULA treats virtual goods

Proxima Beta’s End User License Agreement says game currency and virtual goods can be purchased through in-game or platform transactions, and may also be earned as in-game rewards. The EULA describes them as licensed digital items with no monetary value; they cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred or traded, subject to applicable law and any game-specific terms.
