Internet is a creature that changes at every moment. Everything we enjoy today can disappear tomorrow without warning, and that is especially true on platforms like TikTok. The problem is that we cannot make any kind of backup for offline playback... unless we use an external tool like Tikinsta, which in addition to download TikTok videos, also removes their watermark.
While the news talks about mysterious balloons and espionage accusations, diplomatic relations between China and Western powers are not at their best... and some governments see TikTok as a punching bag. France expressed its desire to regulate the app, ministries and agencies in the Netherlands suspended its use, the United States approved the No TikTok on Government Devices Act, and more than 25 states have already established different levels of prohibition.
What does that mean? That it's not a bad idea to start backing up what you like on the social network. These blocks haven't reached civilians yet, but we have no reason to think they will stop here. So if you feel you need to download TikTok videos and remove their watermark, you can do two things: Explore the availability of online services, or go directly to Tikinsta.
Tikinsta: Online service to download TikTok videos
Tikinsta requires no accounts or tokens. All you have to do is get the link of the video you want to download (using the share function), paste it into Tikinsta, and press the Download button. If everything goes well, Tikinsta will present a preview of the video, with three download options: Watermark (the video exactly as we see it on TikTok), HD (without watermark), and the audio in MP3 format at 128 kbps.
The rest is a matter of patience. Sometimes Tikinsta needs more than one attempt to process the link, but I imagine that detail will improve over time. Otherwise, remember that we have some excellent alternatives here.
