Reimagining and reinterpreting The Simpsons is nothing new for us. In fact, we've already seen them in human form, as horror movie characters, inserted into classic art, and turned into nightmarish creatures. However, today we come across a small Twitter snippet that takes us to the other side of the world. What would The Simpsons look like if they had been created in the former Soviet Union?

To answer that question, we need to visit the profile of journalist Katia Ovchinnikova, who took the trouble to expand on the work of artist @prokky93. What prokky93 did was take the Simpson family and recreate it following the style of six classic Soviet animators: Boris Diojkin, Garri Bardin, Robert Sahakyants, Eduard Nazarov, the team of Alexander Tatarsky and Igor Kovalyov, and David Cherkassky.

Finally, as a golden touch, we leave you with the intro of The Simpsons as if it were a Russian art film, created and directed by Lenivko Kvadratjić and with music by Lenivko Kvadratjić.
