The Coma: Cutting Class is a survival horror released in 2015 only for PC. But soon that exclusivity will end and console users will be invited to enjoy a remastered version of this cult classic of Korean horror titled The Coma: Recut.
Released in 2015 for Windows and Mac, The Coma: Cutting Class introduced us to the hallways of Sehwa Institute in Korea. Here you play as Youngho, a poor student trapped in his terrifying school, where he wakes up at night after falling asleep during a final exam. The problem is he is not alone: a killer is chasing him, and Youngho must discover why he is there and find a way to escape. Being the first title from indie studio Devespresso Games, the game quickly became a cult classic of Korean horror that will soon resurface in a remastered version titled The Coma: Recut.
To begin with, The Coma: Recut will be available on PC as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, and will include new animations, mechanics, and scenes, as well as other improvements, especially visual ones. In fact, the game features a beautiful manhwa-style aesthetic (the Korean term for comics and graphic novels), hand-illustrated. The gameplay focuses on guiding Youngho to solve the mystery lurking in Sehwa Institute, and to do that you'll need to explore every corner of the place, moving through dark hallways and using your flashlight, but being careful, as it can also attract dangerous creatures.
In those cases, you have to hide, either by crouching in the shadows or getting into a closet to avoid being seen by enemies. You have to investigate everything you find (notes, clues) to reconstruct the story of the students and teachers of the place. Will you survive long enough to solve the mystery of Sehwa Institute? The Coma: Recut is being developed by Devespresso Games and will be available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game doesn't have a concrete release date yet, but it's expected to arrive in August 2017.
