Lethal VR: Virtual Reality Shooting Gallery
Lethal VR

A new and exciting virtual reality experience is now available for HTC Vive users. Lethal VR is basically a virtual reality shooting gallery that takes inspiration from sources as broad as gun clubs, action movies, and classic arcade games like Time Crisis. Here you step into the shoes of an FBI recruit who must hone his skills in a training simulation, using a variety of weapons ranging from pistols to knife throwing and ninja stars.

Developed by Former Criterion Members

The developers behind this game are Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry (former employees of Criterion, the studio behind Burnout), who built Lethal VR from scratch for the HTC Vive, achieving a true 360-degree experience thanks to a new level of immersion never before seen in the genre. The game is able to track the player's movements, making it extremely accurate when recording reaction speed and accuracy when attempting headshots on targets. With more than thirty training missions to complete, you have challenges that involve shooting multiple moving targets at once using two weapons or shooting at targets that use hostages as human shields.

Training Missions and Gameplay

To achieve high scores, the player will have to know how to move physically, whether by moving their head to look around, leaning from side to side to find a better shooting angle, or turning around targets to destroy them more quickly. The risk/reward factor constantly influences situations where you have to predict where the next target will appear, with the risk of being wrong and losing ammunition, or shooting a target twice to get extra points, or shooting once so you don't have to reload the weapon often. Developed by Three Fields Entertainment, Lethal VR is now available on Steam for HTC Vive while a PlayStation VR version will be released before the end of 2016.
