The weekly section that keeps your phone busy and focused with excellent games is here. This week we have The Wasted Land, a strategy and Cthulhu Mythos game; Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, action with a mysterious bounty hunter; Hotline Miami 2 with shooting and assassins, and much more.
Birds On Wheels (Free)
Who would have imagined that three little birds could ride a tricycle? Well, in Birds On Wheels this is possible. With an endless runner style gameplay, the goal is to help these birds cross different obstacles, collect coins during the day, and survive the night when zombies roam the land. With the collected coins you can improve weapons and vehicles, even driving a tank to quickly finish off zombie hordes. You can also compare scores with your friends and see who is the most skilled zombie killer. Developed by Patagonica Game Studio, Birds On Wheels is available exclusively on Android systems.
Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land
Based on the work of H. P. Lovecraft, Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land is set in the middle of World War I and pits a team of investigators and soldiers against an ancient evil, one older than humanity itself, that is using the carnage of the great war to build an army of undead in the depths of Europe's battlefields. The gameplay is a mixture of turn-based strategy and role-playing elements where you must control your units in confrontations against creatures of the Cthulhu Mythos. Developed by Red Wasp Design, Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land is available on iOS and Android.
Deponia
A point-and-click graphic adventure that follows the misadventures of Rufus, an eccentric inventor eager to escape his town of Kuvaq, located on a garbage-covered planet called Deponia, to start a new life in the floating city of Elysium. But the sudden appearance of a young woman named Goal will make Rufus change his perspective about his town in a delirious and challenging adventure. We are undoubtedly faced with a brilliantly absurd story with an appropriate comic style, where you must use Rufus's skills to interact with a wide variety of objects, whether to activate machinery or combine them to solve different puzzles. Developed by Disney, Deponia is available exclusively on iOS.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
The sequel to Hotline Miami invites you to enter the murderous minds of several characters, each with their own motivations, in a story that takes place both before and after the events of the previous game. With an unmistakable visual style and an exquisite soundtrack, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number continues the level of violence escalated through multiple scenarios where no one must be left alive. There are a total of thirteen playable characters (with their respective abilities) and new masks that will help you when starting the respective carnage in each level. Developed by Dennaton Games, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is available exclusively on Android.
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
The games in the Oddworld series combined wit with platforms, but with Stranger's Wrath they decided to combine first and third person action in what was one of the best titles of the original Xbox a decade ago. Stranger, the protagonist, is a mysterious bounty hunter who must collect 20,000 Moolah, the currency of Oddworld, for an equally mysterious operation, and that's why you have to hunt down desperados. The game unfolds almost linearly, with towns where giant chickens live, offering various bounties for outlaws that Stranger can hunt. With the money earned you can buy items, like binoculars, or ammunition for the crossbow. Undoubtedly a game that must be played. Developed by Square One, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is available on iOS and Android.
