Deep Under The Sky

Comix Zone

Comix Zone (free game): You are Sketch Turner, a comic book artist trapped in one of your own comics. Travel into this nightmare world and watch how your enemies are drawn right before your eyes. Fight the Mutant Queen, survive the Ship of the Dead and the lava mines, and defeat the evil Mortus to escape. Comix Zone is a beat 'em up that takes place inside the panels of a hand-drawn comic while you battle mutants and discover Sketch's powers and lots of intense fighting moves. Don't forget to play the classics from the Sega Forever line: Altered Beast, Kid Chameleon, Phantasy Star II, and Sonic the Hedgehog. Developed by Sega, Comix Zone is available on iOS and Android.

Deep Under The Sky

Colin and Sarah Northway, the team behind Incredipede, the incredible puzzle about a creature with many limbs, presents a new adventure with Deep Under The Sky. Here you control a kind of alien jellyfish, and the goal is to fly over a psychedelic version of the planet Venus, planting your jellyfish spores. Like Incredipede, it's all physics-based, using one-touch controls: you have to launch your jellyfish through levels, carefully aligning it with spawn points to grow more jellyfish, in as few moves as possible. It's challenging and rewarding in equal measure, and visually charming. Developed by Northway Games, Deep Under The Sky is available on iOS and Android.

Ledoliel

A strange dating game from the mind of David Mondou-Labbe. Ledoliel is a kind of Tamagotchi with dating, where the idea is to enter diplomatic encounters with a series of aliens, trying not to end up dead. Gameplay is based on language; though not so much the language of words, but of custom, carefully navigating the peculiarities of each being, saying the right things and giving the right gifts to avoid dying, whether by annoying the creature or misunderstanding its physiology or etiquette. Developed by David Mondou-Labbe, Ledoliel is available exclusively on iOS.

Super Crossfighter

Super Crossfighter: Radiangames has made some pretty impressive retro shooters, especially in the bullet hell style. Super Crossfighter is a combination of Galaxian and Space Invaders, with beautiful neon styling. As for gameplay, there are few surprises: the ship automatically fires at synchronized enemies while you move left and right. As you advance, you can upgrade the ship and acquire special items that will help you in battle against alien ships. With a massive campaign, intense action, and visually stunning, this game revitalizes the shooter genre like no other. Developed by Radiangames, Super Crossfighter is available on Android.

Time Tangle - Adventure Time

There have been some very good Adventure Time mobile games like Rockstars of Ooo. And Time Tangle is one of the best, which takes advantage of the true endless runner formula (although levels are finite). The game consists of a few elements: dodge, hit, and collect items, with bosses to defeat at the end of each level. There are three difficulty levels and two control modes. Obviously, the main draw is the animated series license, which has a clever story about Finn collecting time crystals to fix the mess he made in the time stream and rescue his friends. Developed by TwinSky, Time Tangle - Adventure Time is available on iOS and Android.
