Activision has scheduled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 to begin on November 6, 2026, at 00:00 ET (November 5 at 21:00 PT) across all platforms. The announced update brings new Multiplayer and Warzone maps, a new DMZ location, seasonal events, weapons and a linear Battle Pass.

When Season 1 is scheduled to begin

Season 1 is scheduled to start at 00:00 ET on November 6. Activision also scheduled a separate Warzone roadmap for November 2; that is the date for the roadmap, while the Warzone integration is part of the Season 1 update.

Maps announced for Multiplayer and Warzone

For Multiplayer, Activision describes the season’s map offering as more than six maps. Backstab, Canyon and a reimagined Shoot House are scheduled for launch. Backstab is a snow-covered, war-damaged town; Canyon is a sun-scorched setting with rock walls, open areas and limited cover. Shoot House keeps its familiar layout in a rugged North Korean setting with light snowfall.

Ministry and Overflow are among the announced Mid-Season maps, along with additional classified locations. Ministry centers on a damaged embassy during a summit, while Overflow features a factory and nearby farmland.

Warzone’s Season 1 integration names Hajin and Zodiac as new maps, with Verdansk and Rebirth Island returning. Activision scheduled the separate Warzone roadmap for November 2.

X01 brings an enclosed facility to DMZ

The announced DMZ location, X01, is a weapons facility within the Hajin exclusion zone. Its areas include cargo bays, vehicle depots, underground labs and a weapons assembly line. New orders, enemies and shifting hazards add to the extraction risks, and extraction points can close.

Wager Match and other seasonal modes

Wager Match spans Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone. Players earn Trophies as the event currency, and the event terms exclude money and items of real-world value. In Multiplayer, Gauntlet 1v1 is the Wager Match playlist. The top three can earn additional rewards, including an Operator Skin, Blueprint, Weapon Camo and Apex Attachments.

Grind and Drop Zone are scheduled for launch, with more modes planned from Mid-Season. The Crash-centered Kill Block also offers other Core Multiplayer modes. Joint Fire boosts progress for larger squads, while Weapon Camo Events award camos through match XP.

Battle Pass progression and weapons

Sinapsis’s Spanish-language preview shows the linear Battle Pass menu, operator skins, weapon attachments, XP tokens and DMZ supply packages.

The Season 1 Battle Pass has a linear 100-tier track and more than 100 rewards. The premium version guarantees more than 50 rewards and includes catch-up progress to the reward for the current season day, up to day 50. Activision lists the pass at 1,100 COD Points and the Battle Pass Bundle at 2,400 COD Points.

The launch pass names the Cronen Osprey assault rifle and CSG-35 SMG, listed at tiers 16 and 36, respectively. Activision gives their fire rates as 882 and 1,200 rounds per minute. The JAK 12 shotgun and ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon are later-season event rewards. The M16 Burst attachment changes the M4 from full-auto fire to controlled bursts; other announced attachments include Hyeon Auto for Hyeon Burst and Kastov 545 for Kastov 762.
