At the annual Jump Festa event in Japan, Square Enix had the pleasure of presenting new footage from its upcoming role-playing games, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy XV. One better than the other—unmissable!
Jump Festa is an annual exposition in Japan dedicated to manga and anime. During the event, the latest in manga, anime, and upcoming movie trailers are presented. It also acts as a gaming convention, especially for Namco Bandai and Square Enix, with the latter showing new looks at its upcoming RPGs: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy XV. We had already covered Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, the high-definition version of the PSP game that was only released in Japan in 2011, but which will now come to the West on next-generation consoles.
This time, the trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD reveals new details about the war in Orience, the world of the game, from the perspective of the fourteen members of Class Zero. It also shows some of the gameplay and the battle system, but the most interesting part is that the game will include a demo of Final Fantasy XV in a limited edition on its first day of release. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is being developed by HexaDrive and will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting March 20, 2015 in Europe.
But the trailer for Final Fantasy XV was definitely the most anticipated during the event, showing new scenes about the Imperial invasion of Insomnia. The video continues to show details of the journey of Prince Noctis and his friends as they try to recover the crystal of their city while battling the forces of Niflheim. The game's world will let us explore large cities and wild areas, such as forests, where huge creatures dwell and we can fight them. Final Fantasy XV is being developed by Square Enix and will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For now, the game does not have a concrete release date.
