It is not the first time a game's protagonist is tormented by the memory of his wife. If I recall correctly, Silent Hill 2 follows exactly the same line, and I believe even the time interval is the same, but Resident Evil 7 will seek to place greater pressure on the horror aspect, and if we go by the latest material, it might achieve that…
Doubts and Hopes
There are still doubts about the game (even though the trailers have gone from lesser to greater), and it is natural for fans to be defensive. The franchise's developers made several mistakes with Resident Evil 6, and no one wants that situation to repeat. It is likely that Ethan Winters' “mission” could hit on a more personal level. He is a very vulnerable character compared to the saga's previous heroes, and no one denies that the Bakers, besides being completely crazy, are formidable opponents. If that seems little, “TAPE-3” reveals the presence of a little girl who does not seem to be a member of the Baker family.
Demo and DLC Details
Capcom and Sony confirmed that the “complete demo” of Resident Evil 7 is now available for PlayStation 4, while Xbox One users will have to wait until next Friday, and those who prefer to play it on PC will get it on the 19th of this month. Another thing that will also come first to the PS4 is the DLC “Banned Footage”. The dates remain the same: January 24 worldwide, and the 26th in Japan.
