It’s a creation by Leonardo Russo, who conjured up this variant with a good dose of JavaScript. Did you know that Windows Solitaire was created in a moment of boredom? Its developer even admitted that he had planned a “boss key” to escape supervision at work, but Microsoft asked him to remove it. But what about the game itself? On one hand, you have more than a thousand versions of Solitaire to enjoy with the PySol and Patience applications, and on the other, you are one click away from an open-source variant of Spider Solitaire. Its development is in charge of Leonardo Russo, also known for the online emulator Emulatrix, and the 3D Object Maker application for Android.

Do you remember the rules of Spider Solitaire? First, you define the difficulty with the number of suits, then you start moving cards to free up spaces. At first, you can build any sequence, but the game only allows you to move whole groups of cards when they follow the same suit. The final goal is to form perfect sequences from ace to king with all suits… but it’s easier said than done. A simple search on YouTube will reveal dozens of videos with tips and tutorials to avoid throwing your monitor out the window.
If you’ve lost practice, my suggestion is simple: don’t fry your brain playing with four suits first. Accumulate a couple of wins with one or two suits, and then you can make the jump without difficulties.
