If you enjoyed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (is there anyone out there?) then this news will make you jump out of your seat. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 presents a trailer where our favorite heroes will have to fight against the attack of Bebop and Rocksteady.
The first installment of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had a very bad reception from specialized critics. This modern adaptation, which once again told the origin of the Ninja Turtles, was accompanied by a boring plot that didn't take advantage of the franchise's potential, causing a terrible disappointment to fans. To make matters worse, sequels were already announced even before the premiere, and on this occasion we have the trailer of the second part titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. This time the Ninja Turtles will have to prepare for the attack of Bebop and Rocksteady.
The Story
Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello face a new threat: Bebop and Rocksteady. For those who don't remember, this duo of villains, with humanoid appearances of a boar and a rhinoceros, emerged from the animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1987 and had several appearances throughout comics and video games. The story of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows returns with Shredder, the leader of the Foot Clan, who plans revenge against the Turtles. To do so, he plans to use Baxter Stockman, a mad scientist who will transform Bebop and Rocksteady into their mutant counterparts, unleashing chaos on the city. But the Turtles won't be alone, and this time they'll have the help of an indispensable ally, the vigilante Casey Jones.
Cast and Crew
Judging by the trailer, it's interesting that this time they include elements from the animated series (the inclusion of Bebop and Rocksteady and the Turtles' van) but we'll have to see the final result. Let's hope this time it doesn't disappoint us. The cast is composed again with Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and William Fichtner in their respective roles. New additions to the cast include Stephen Amell (Arrow), Brian Tee (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift), Tyler Perry (Alex Cross), Brittany Ishibashi and Laura Linney. Again the Turtles and Master Splinter will have the voices of Johnny Knoxville, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Danny Woodburn. In this last section, the voices of Gary Anthony Williams (Bebop) and Stephen "Sheamus" Farrelly (Rocksteady) are also added. Produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Michael Bay's production company, Platinum Dune, this sequel will be directed by Dave Green (Earth to Echo). Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will be released in 3D and IMAX theaters on June 3, 2016.
