Classmg22 published BBSC 0.0.1 on October 13, 2026. The Bloodborne co-op mod’s first public build is labeled a pre-release and a first public test, with separate downloads for public play, self-hosting, split-screen and a BBport Windows test build (release page).

Four packages for different setups

The four downloads serve different purposes:

  • Play bundles a launcher, an emulator and BBSC, and connects to the public BBSC server without requiring a VPN.
  • Server is for hosting a BBSC server on Windows.
  • Nucleus supports split-screen through the Bloodborne Nucleus Co-op Handler.
  • BBport is a test build for BBport on Windows. For background on BBport, see NeoTeo’s earlier explanation of its Windows Bloodborne project.

What the project says co-op does

The BBSC project describes sessions for up to five hunters: one host and four guests. Its announcement says a session can continue through deaths, lamps, area changes, bosses and the Hunter’s Dream (project announcement).

Players keep their own characters, levels, echoes and items, according to the project. Optional shared progress adds the host’s completed bosses and shortcuts to guests’ worlds; the announcement does not describe shared levels or echoes.

The release notes also say collected items do not reappear after a player rejoins or visits home, boss rewards go directly into guests’ inventories, and the Bath Messenger shop remains each player’s own after a visit to the host’s Hunter’s Dream. The notes describe networking as more stable.

Required game version and stated limits

BBSC 0.0.1 requires a player’s own copy of Bloodborne, product code CUSA03173, version 01.09. The download does not include game files, and GitHub advises backing up save files.

Chalice Dungeons can be played solo, but co-op inside them is not supported in version 0.0.1. The release also warns that after a full party wipe, the host may respawn in the Hunter’s Dream.
