When we talk about Samsung, the first things that come to mind are Smart TVs or new smartphones, but this time the product is completely different. The team had the task of designing and building the Dream Doghouse, the Samsung dog house as part of the sponsorship of Crufts Dog Show, a canine event held annually in Birmingham, England. With a modern and futuristic look, the Dream Doghouse offers a variety of luxuries and amenities for your canine friend.
Luxurious Amenities
The first thing that catches the eye is the treadmill covered with AstroTurf and the jacuzzi, ideal for the dog to rest after a workout. Of course, after such a walk it is normal to be hungry, and nothing better than an automatic food dispenser activated by a button (in this case, you'll have to teach the dog to press the button). The interior of the Dream Doghouse looks even more luxurious and with a homey atmosphere where up to two dogs can live.
In fact, inside the dog house there is a tablet with a variety of content to entertain the dog while it settles on the pillow upholstery. Andy Griffiths, president of Samsung Electronics UK, said that with the Dream Doghouse they want to reflect the growing trend of the nation's use of technology: from dogs that have social media profiles to owners who use video calls to check on their pets when they are away. The house was built by a team of twelve designers over six weeks, although Samsung does not intend to make a big commercial sale since the Dream Doghouse has a price of $31,000. For now, the winner of the Crufts Dog Show took home a Dream Doghouse as a prize
