New Line Cinema hasn't had many animated films in its development pipeline, but this time the studio has enlisted the talents of Kenji Kamiyama (Patlabor, Ghost in the Shell, Cyborg 009, Blade Runner: Black Lotus) to take us back to Middle-earth. That's right: The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim will share the story of Helm Hammerhand, ninth king of Rohan, his daughter Héra (who will have a greatly expanded role here), and the conflict with the Dunlendings that lasted until the War of the Ring. It can't be worse than Rings of Power... right? (December 13)
