ChillyWillMD’s Mario Kart World demonstration paired Nintendo Switch 2 emulation with NVIDIA DLSS 5 Neural Rendering. Wccftech and HardwarePremium reported that it ran at 60 FPS on a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and Intel Core i9-13900K. Those outlets described the same video, not separate runs. The emulation reports appeared amid public Switch 2 jailbreak activity; NeoTeo previously covered what the ns2jb jailbreak can do.

Wccftech and HardwarePremium described changed lighting in the demonstration, alongside jagged character edges and noisy illumination from kart headlights.

Reported frame rates vary by PC

Hardzone attributed its Eglantine results to specific PC configurations: 60 FPS on a GeForce RTX 5090 with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and 60 FPS on an RTX 5080 with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. It reported 38–45 FPS on an RTX 3060 paired with a Ryzen 5 5700X3D.

GameGPU separately reported about 60 FPS on an RTX 5080 and Ryzen 7 9800X3D, with brief dips to 59 FPS. It also described shader-compilation micro-freezes and localized missing 3D meshes.

A 60 FPS reading can coexist with stutters

Gamen4Bros demonstrated gameplay at 60 FPS on a PC with a Ryzen 9 9950X, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and 64 GB of RAM. The same demonstration had stutters during shader compilation. A frame-rate reading and a stutter can occur in the same run: the counter can reach 60 FPS even as shader compilation briefly interrupts smooth gameplay.

Individual users report uneven results

In an r/switch2emu discussion, one Eglantine NX2 Build 129 user with a Ryzen 5 2600, RX 570 and 16 GB of RAM reported stutters under heavy effects and earlier crashes. Another commenter in the same discussion claimed 60 FPS on an RX 7900 XT with 32 GB of RAM.

A user with an 8 GB Linux PC said increasing the swap file stopped crashes, while the game remained glitchy and ran poorly. A Steam Deck community thread included an individual report of about 15 FPS.
