How to Generate QR Codes with SimpleCodeGenerator
As is always the case with Nirsoft software, SimpleCodeGenerator does not have an installer; it is enough to unzip the archive to a temporary folder. Its interface is spartan to the core and completely intuitive: type the text or link you want to encode, and click Generate QR Code. You can copy the QR code image to the clipboard with F2, or save a local copy in PNG, GIF, JPG, TIFF, or BMP formats (PNG is the default).
You can encode multiple lines, set the error correction level, and limit the maximum version of the QR code to improve compatibility.
Want to encode more than one line in the QR code? The process is simple: press F7 or click on Options – Multiple Lines Mode to activate multi-line mode. Remember that the capacity of the QR code depends not only on its dimensions, but also on the type of data to be encoded and the error correction level. These advanced parameters appear below the text: error correction has four levels (L, M, Q, and H), and you can limit the version of the code between 1 and 40, in case you need greater compatibility.
