A November 4, 2026, report from ComputerHoy said RPCS3 had no PlayStation 3 games left in its Loadable or Nothing categories. In the report, every title had reached some visible output. The milestone is about getting games past startup; it does not mean every title can be completed or runs without major problems.

What RPCS3’s reported boot milestone means

Loadable and Nothing were the two categories for games that did not get past startup. ComputerHoy reported that both were empty, but its figures also placed games in less-than-complete compatibility categories: Ingame and Intro.

How Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 moved to Ingame

ComputerHoy attributed the last reported category change to an SPU-accuracy correction by Yahfz. SPUs, or Synergistic Processing Units, are part of the PlayStation 3’s Cell processor. After the correction, Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 moved from Loadable to Ingame, not Playable.

Booting, playing and completing are different outcomes

ComputerHoy defined Playable as completable with good performance and no major errors. Ingame means a title starts and can be played, though faults may remain. Intro means it reaches menus or opening screens without becoming playable.

In its November 4 report, ComputerHoy put more than 80% of the catalog in Playable, 19.31% in Ingame and 0.62% in Intro. RPCS3’s earlier 80% Playable milestone, covered in NeoTeo’s previous report, concerned games classed as completable; this later milestone concerned games getting past startup.

A game starting also does not settle whether every feature works: ComputerHoy noted that multiplayer and peripherals such as PlayStation Move can present additional emulation problems.

Setup and game-specific behavior

A Spanish-language RPCS3 tutorial published by Viva La Emulación on August 17, 2025, covers installing the emulator and PS3 firmware, configuring controls and CPU and GPU options, loading games, applying patches and checking compatibility. Summarized viewer comments included successful setups as well as reports of a game closing during SPU-cache building and difficulty getting God of War: Ascension to run. Those individual experiences predate the November 2026 report.
