It has just been confirmed that the most anticipated game by Sony fans has been delayed again. We are talking about The Last Guardian, a title that now comes out at the end of the year and has just been shown in a new trailer for Tokyo Game Show 2016.
Since its announcement at the distant E3 2009 for PlayStation 3, The Last Guardian became the most anticipated game by Sony fans. But over time the game was delayed several times and now it comes out for PlayStation 4. During E3 2016 a new trailer had been shown with a release date of October 25, 2016, but recently Sony delayed the release to the end of the year, as the developers need more time to fix the errors that had arisen during the final production of the game.
A new trailer for Tokyo Game Show 2016
Days before Tokyo Game Show 2016, The Last Guardian was presented with a new trailer. The video shows us a little more about the relationship of the protagonists: a boy who becomes friends with Trico, a giant creature similar to a griffin. The two have to work together to escape the castle where they are held captive, avoiding the guards that are after them. The gameplay combines elements of action, adventure and puzzles, where you must control the boy to perform different types of actions, such as running, jumping and climbing, similar to what was seen in Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.
The interesting thing is the interaction between the boy and Trico, being able to climb on top of him and ride him. In fact you will have to manipulate the creature as if it were a real animal, like attracting it with food, so that it can get you to elevated platforms or other remote places. You will also have to be attentive to Trico's mood, visible by the color of its eyes, as that will influence when it comes to obeying the indicated orders. The Last Guardian is being developed by SIE Japan Studio together with genDESIGN and will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 from December 7, 2016 in Spanish territory.
