The Walking Dead: A New Frontier

In this first look at The Walking Dead - A New Frontier, we meet Javier García. We witness how the start of the zombie plague affected both him and his family, before jumping forward a few years to a time when he encounters a very familiar face. This third season features several new characters, as well as returning ones from The Walking Dead: Season Two. Clementine is accompanied by Javier, while she continues to care for the baby from last season, Alvin Jr.

Two Playable Characters

Now in The Walking Dead - A New Frontier, there will be two playable characters instead of one, as seen in the first and second seasons. This feature was previously used in other Telltale Games titles, such as Tales from the Borderlands, Jurassic Park, and Game of Thrones.

As in previous seasons, the gameplay maintains the point-and-click style while you take control of Clementine or Javier to move through environments, examine and interact with various elements, and collect and use objects to advance the story.

You can also start conversations with characters you encounter along the adventure, offering you multiple options to select when responding, including the option to remain silent, with a limited amount of time to make the selection. Such choices can affect how other characters will react later toward the protagonists, which can influence subsequent events in the story. Action also remains present through the resolution of Quick Time Events.

And as in the first and second seasons, this game is divided into five episodes. The Walking Dead - A New Frontier is being developed by Telltale Games and will be available on Windows, Mac, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and iOS and Android devices starting December 20, 2016.
