Fans remain divided after the episodes that marked its return, but the overall balance of the tenth season of The X-Files was positive enough to justify a continuation. Fox confirmed season 11 in April, and with the close of New York Comic-Con we received its first teaser. What comes next for agents Mulder and Scully? That was not a spoiler. David Madden, now the former president of entertainment at Fox, noted this in early August. It was also learned that the new season will add four more episodes, bringing the total to ten. Taking into account the criticism that some episodes of the tenth season received, and the notable loss of audience during its broadcast (it closed below eight million viewers in the United States), not a few imagined an interruption right at a cliffhanger, but here we are. Mulder, Scully, William, the Smoking Man, Skinner, aliens, monsters... yes, we definitely want to see more.

Fox has not yet confirmed the exact date, but The X-Files will return to the small screen in January 2018. I imagine it will be forced to compete with other very popular series, although the franchise carries a lot of weight, and it's the other networks that should worry. The truth is out there, and we are in front of the screen.
