Ubisoft, the company behind major franchises such as Assassin's Creed, Rayman, Rainbow Six, and Just Dance, has launched its own digital assistant, Sam. In recent years, virtual assistants have gained a strong foothold since the arrival of Siri on Apple and later Cortana on Windows. Here at NeoTeo, we tell you all about what Sam has to offer.
What is Sam?
Sam is currently in open beta and can be accessed through the Ubisoft Club app, available on Android and iOS. Although the app is openly accessible, Sam is only available in Canada and only in English. However, the company plans to expand the trial to other countries in the coming months.

Sam collects information about the player from Ubisoft Club, such as services, game library, and friends, and then provides information and advice via text chat or voice. This is made possible thanks to Google Cloud's Dialogflow Enterprise Edition, which processes language to build conversation patterns. Sam responds only when it comes to Ubisoft games. It won't be long before Ubisoft's virtual assistant becomes available in other parts of the world.
