The claims period for Apple’s proposed $250 million Siri and Apple Intelligence settlement opened Sept. 21, 2026. It is for eligible buyers who live in the United States and purchased a listed iPhone there. A valid claim has a base payment of $25 per eligible device, though the amount may be adjusted up to $95 or reduced.

What the Siri and Apple Intelligence allegations involve

The lawsuit alleges that Apple promoted Siri and Apple Intelligence features that buyers did not receive as expected. The disputed capabilities included a more personalized Siri, interpreting on-screen content, and carrying out multi-step actions across apps using personal information such as calendar data.

Apple denies the allegations and says it did nothing improper or unlawful. The proposed settlement is not an admission of liability.

Who may qualify and which iPhones are listed

To qualify under the published terms, a claimant must meet all of these conditions:

  • Reside in the United States and be the phone’s original purchaser.
  • Have bought the eligible iPhone in the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025.
  • Have bought it for personal or business use, not for resale.

The listed models are iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Owning another iPhone model does not meet the device requirement in these terms.

A valid claim form must be completed and submitted by the eligible claimant. Receiving a notice, claim ID or PIN is not required to file.

How much an eligible claim may pay

The settlement fund totals $250 million before deductions for notice and administration, taxes, attorneys’ fees, litigation costs and any service awards. That fund is not an individual payment amount.

The base payment is $25 per eligible device. It may be adjusted pro rata, meaning in proportion to the number of valid claims, up to a maximum of $95 per device, or reduced depending on valid claims and other factors. The $95 figure is a ceiling, not a guaranteed payout.

Claim deadline and court schedule

The deadline to file a claim is Dec. 21, 2026. The settlement administrator also lists that date as the deadline to exclude yourself from the settlement or object to it.

A final-approval hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24, 2027, when the court is to consider whether the settlement is fair, reasonable and adequate. Distribution awaits final approval.
