xAI announced Team Bots in public beta on September 28, 2026, for customers on Teams and Enterprise plans. The shared Grok Bots are built around a team role or workflow: skills can be shared across the group, while xAI says each user’s conversations, context, and memories remain separate.

What Team Bots shares—and keeps separate

xAI describes four parts: Context, Plugins, Credentials, and Memories. Context can include files, instructions, and skills, such as brand guides or internal documentation. Plugins connect applications; xAI names Salesforce, Notion, and GitHub as examples. Credentials can provide access to third-party APIs that do not have a plugin.

Each Team Bot also has its own handle and can be invited into a Slack channel, where team members can ask questions, add context, and see its responses. The model is a shared team resource, but the conversations, context, and memories are described as user-specific.

Four workflows xAI uses as examples

The examples cover sales and customer success, product and engineering, marketing, and data analytics. They include tools in different roles, not just plugins: xAI also names Gong, Slack, Linear, Hex, Datadog, Cursor, Databricks, and Statsig across its workflow descriptions.

For data analysis, xAI says its Data Bot uses shared read-only credentials for approved Databricks tables and connects to Datadog, Hex, and Statsig. The company says its analytics team developed a skills library over two years for work across more than 45,000 tables.

In marketing, Amplitude’s Head of Marketing, Angela Ferrante, described plans to use Team Bots for market and customer intelligence, visibility in AI answers, launch reviews, and assessing what is working.

Results Harper and xAI report

Harper CEO Dakotah Rice said the company built a Team Bot in 24 hours to help identify customers with lapsed policies and support reinstating coverage. Rice attributed more than $120,000 in customer savings across hundreds of policies to the bot.

For its engineering example, xAI said a five-person team shipped more than 100 PRs per day while a Cursor Project orchestrated hundreds of Cloud Agents during Team Bots development.

Beta access and the commercial details

xAI said the public beta was available to customers on Teams and Enterprise plans. In its September 28 announcement, the company gave no Team Bots-specific price or general-availability date.
