Yandex announced temporary measures for Yandex Cloud, Yandex 360 and Yandex Pay on October 13, 2026. The Cloud fee waiver covers active customers in Russian availability zones; Yandex 360’s offer is for personal-plan users, while Yandex Pay set a temporary Savings rate and terms for payments affected by the disruption.

Yandex Cloud: free service in Russian zones

Yandex B2B Tech said all Yandex Cloud services in every Russian availability zone would be free for active customers, including businesses and individual users, through October. The Moscow Times reported that the covered usage period runs from October 8 through October 31. The announcement specifies Russian zones, not a US offer. Yandex B2B Tech’s announcement and The Moscow Times’ report on the October 8–31 period detail the terms.

Yandex 360: personal-plan billing and feature limits

Yandex 360 said personal-plan users would receive free service through October and that upcoming monthly and annual subscription payments would be postponed. The company also said some functions remained temporarily restricted, including automatic photo and video uploads in the mobile Disk apps and downloads of files as a single archive. It warned that support replies could take longer than usual. Yandex 360’s notice lists these conditions.

Yandex Pay: a one-week Savings rate and payment relief

Yandex Pay said current Savings-account users would receive a 20% annual interest rate from October 11 through October 17, inclusive, without additional conditions. The figure is the annual rate for that period.

For payments due during the service disruption, Yandex said affected Super Split or credit payments would not be treated as overdue. Customers who had already been charged a penalty could contact support to request reimbursement. Yandex Fintech’s announcement sets out both measures.

Services remained limited during restoration

When Yandex B2B Tech announced the measures, it said Yandex Cloud and Yandex 360 were operating in a limited mode. Some services were unavailable, while some functions were deliberately restricted to preserve core services.

The Moscow Times reported that three of Yandex’s six data centers had gone offline following three attacks in four days. The reported disruptions preceded the customer measures. The Insider reported that Yandex Cloud was still in emergency mode on the morning of October 12; NeoTeo covered that update in its report on Yandex Cloud’s October 12 emergency status.

In remarks reported by Infobae/EFE on October 13, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Peskov said the government was discussing Yandex’s difficulties and that it was too early to estimate the financial losses. Infobae’s report covered his comments.
