The Master of Nightmares needs no introduction. It's been ten years since his physical departure (the 12th of May, to be precise), but his presence never left us. Giger's art is impossible to confuse, and anyone with the chance should visit his permanent museum in Gruyères. Today we explore H.R. Giger's involvement in other media: a humble review of the unforgettable Alien, its sequels, his brief but striking foray into video games, and more recent projects.

Our reaction is almost as fast as seeing the famous company logo. The Li series, Biomechanoid, Necronom, Birth Machine... they are recognizable from miles away, and automatically his name comes to mind: Hans Ruedi Giger.

Flesh, tubes, sex, women, breasts, vaginas, monsters, skeletons, fetuses, nightmares... Giger fused primordial fears with dark desires, and the result will accompany us forever. Unsurprisingly, traditional media couldn't resist. Giger received an Oscar for his work on Alien, but the story didn't end there.

Besides being copied endlessly, H.R. Giger flowed from one project to another, whether through direct involvement or as a mere consultant. The web has diligently recorded these projects, and today we share a part of them here.
