A Lenovo booth demonstration at NVIDIA’s RTX Spark Editor’s Day in San Francisco showed an AI coach advising a human during a Hades II run, according to 3DJuegos’s firsthand account, published Oct. 15, 2026. The tool offered recommendations during play; the demonstration described a human receiving advice, not an AI playing on the person’s behalf.

What the Hades II AI coach did

The coach reportedly considered the player’s weapon, boons, upgrades and intended build when suggesting choices. It appeared as an extension with a dialogue box for questions during play, making it an adviser alongside the game rather than a character or feature inside Hades II.

How Lenovo said it was created

A Lenovo representative told the 3DJuegos reporter that the extension was made by giving natural-language instructions to an AI agent. The representative said programming knowledge wasn’t required for that demonstrated creation process.

Advice can help—and change the run

The journalist saw potential for the coach to cut down on lookups during a run, but warned that a steady stream of optimal-choice advice could get in the way of the discovery and experimentation that make a roguelike engaging. Guidance may help a player make a more informed choice; following it every time could also leave less room to find an unexpected build.
