Additional Mac mini M6 gaming tests published September 29, 2026 report Cyberpunk at 33 frames per second (fps) in native Full HD with ray tracing, 44 fps with Metal FX and 80 fps after frame generation is enabled. The same tests report Crimson Desert at 30 fps before frame generation and 60 fps with it, plus more than 80 fps in three other games at Full HD and maximum detail.

What the additional game tests report

Metal FX is an upscaling mode. Frame generation adds generated frames to the displayed sequence, so a reported frame rate with the feature enabled is not the same measure as native rendering throughput.

GameReported test conditionReported frame rate
CyberpunkNative Full HD, higher settings including ray tracing33 fps
CyberpunkFull HD with Metal FX44 fps
CyberpunkAfter the Metal FX result, with frame generation enabled80 fps
Crimson DesertFull HD, maximum detail, before frame generation30 fps
Crimson DesertFull HD, maximum detail, with frame generation60 fps
Resident Evil VillageFull HD, maximum detailMore than 80 fps
No Man’s SkyFull HD, maximum detailMore than 80 fps
DOTA 2Full HD, maximum detailMore than 80 fps

The reported frame-generation results do not include input-latency or image-quality measurements. The 80 fps figure describes the reported result with frame generation enabled; it is not a measurement of native rendering throughput.

Separate game demonstrations add more configurations

Gameplay across native macOS and CrossOver titles on the base Mac mini M6 with 16 GB of unified memory.
CrossOver gameplay of Windows games on the Mac mini M6, including Resident Evil Requiem, Counter-Strike 2 and Black Myth Wukong.

A separate gameplay demonstration covers eight games on the base Mac mini M6 configuration, with a 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU and 16 GB of unified memory. It reports Minecraft above 300 fps at 4K and 400–500 fps at 1080p; Wuthering Waves reaches its 60-fps cap at 4K on the highest settings. For GTA V Enhanced, the demonstration reports roughly 70+ fps at 1440p on high settings through CrossOver Preview, without upscaling.

Another demonstration tests ten Windows games through CrossOver, including Resident Evil Requiem, Counter-Strike 2 and Black Myth Wukong. CrossOver provides a compatibility route for these Windows games; it does not make them native macOS releases.

A separate review tested a Mac mini M6 with 24 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD. Its results included 76 fps in Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1080p and the Highest preset, and Baldur’s Gate 3 at 58.1 fps at 1080p/Ultra and 39.3 fps at 1440p/Ultra.

Game, resolution, graphics settings and rendering mode all shape the result. The Mac mini M6’s reported numbers therefore describe particular games and test conditions, not a single frame rate for every title.

Apple announced a US starting price of $899 for the Mac mini with M6 on August 25, 2026.
