Robert Pennywise (aka Bob Gray) returns to haunt the small town of Derry. Thanks to the 1990 miniseries and Tim Curry’s incredible performance, this story has taken on even greater relevance, turning it into a cult classic. And after seeing this new preview, it’s no wonder. Find out what IT brings us and remember: we all float!
A few months ago we saw the first trailer of the first film adaptation of IT and it was spine-chilling. The novel written by Stephen King that arrived as a miniseries in 1990 is now directed by Argentine filmmaker Andrés Muschietti, who will also direct Robotech and Shadow of the Colossus.
Unlike the miniseries, here we only see the childhood stage, and we can imagine a sequel with the Losers’ Club as adults. For now, we get what we have: we see Pennywise in full body and hear his voice. Compared with the previous trailer, the rest doesn’t reveal much more, but it does plunge us deeper into terror with some new scenes that, at least for me, make me even more eager to see it on the big screen and jump out of my seat.
This adaptation features a young, outstanding cast. The fearsome clown is played by Bill Skarsgård (Hemlock Grove), while the Losers’ Club includes Jaeden Lieberher (Bill Denbrough) as the leader and Finn Wolfhard (Richie Tozier) as Bill’s best friend.
There’s very little time left until September 8 to find out whether everything these previews show us will be enough not to disappoint.
